I recently received a rather mysterious email about the new Palm Pre with very little information contained within except for the message:

As my phone is due for renewal within the next few months I am starting to look around at the options which currently include the Nokia N97, the iPhone, an Android based phone, a Windows based Smartphone, and now the Palm Pre. Some of the key factors of my replacement phone will be a full keyboard and a data tariff as I am increasingly using my phone for internet based activities. One of the things which appeals to me about the Palm Pre, aside from the Palm heritage, is the slide out keyboard, although the keyboard seems to slide out from the narrow base of the phone rather than being a side slide keyboard such as that on the Nokia N97. I am still not yet entirely convinced about the iPhone, though it seems to be improving all the time, and I do have a love for my Nokia N95 8GB which replaced my previous Sony Ericsson. One thing is for sure things are looking pretty exciting on the mobile phone front.
