You may have noticed recently I have retrieved the Palm Pre from it’s box and have been using it, on a regular basis, again – I must be having something of a love/hate relationship with the device.

The thing is that the Pre has some really great features and I really want to like it but it often falls short in a few areas – in particular memory shortages, the camera is only 3 megapixels, and there still aren’t many applications available for it. The Pre Plus has improved the memory situation but as my Pre is on contract I won’t be changing it any time soon. The recent firmware upgrade has helped a lot so I thought I would give it another run.

The feature that keeps me coming back to the Palm Pre is the unified messaging panel which shows at a glance how many emails are waiting to be read from various sources, and the keyboard which helps a great deal when sending emails and texts from the phone.

Anyhow, it’s out of the box again – let’s see how we get along this time round.
