JIRA Goes To Version 6
The latest version of software development project tracking and management tool JIRA has been announced today bringing with it a more optimised user interface and more focus on mobility.
JIRA, now at version 6, includes a number of key features for managing software development, and other, projects. Bryan Rollins, Group Product Manager for Atlassian, said of the latest release, “We built JIRA 6 to make every software development team more productive – by spending less time managing issues and more time developing,“.
Mobility plays a key part in the latest version of JIRA making staying in touch with development progress considerably more flexible and encouraging more feedback, both from users and development teams.
The need to constantly flip between screens to track and manage progress of a project can be a problem for many project management solutions and this is being addressed in the latest version through the introduction of a split screen detail view.
