Kickstarter: Support 15-Year Old Max Tobin To Make Erasable–A Short Film
It’s great to see kids using technology for things other than playing games. Simply playing console and mobile games has its place but the opportunity to inspire kids through the use of technology goes way beyond gaming. With that in mind, let’s introduce Max.
Max Tobin is a 15-year old film maker from the West Midlands in the UK. Having already made a number of short films, some of which have been aired on American TV, Max setup Tobin Film Studio to pursue his dream.
The next project to come from Tobin Film Studio is “Erasable” a 15 minute film about the end of the world. Max is using Kickstarter to raise money to make the short movie a reality and has already achieved his initial goal.
Now, Max has his sights set on his stretch goals and is just a few pounds away from meeting the first one: to purchase higher quality costumes and props for the film.
Max uses Vegas Pro for editing the movies (Max is supported by Sony Creative Software) and also uses Sound Forge Pro and Acid Pro for audio and soundtracks.
See the video for the last project completed by Max and his team, “The Light Switch” – a short movie about a boy with autism.
The Erasable Kickstarter project has 7 days to go and pledges can start from as little as £1. “Erasable” is due for completion around August/September.
