Remote Heating Control Hub Flashing Pink/Purple
In a remote heating control implementation the RHC Hub (Remote Heating Control) is a small square device that connects the thermostat wireless receiver control unit (WR1) to your local broadband router (this is based on the British Gas installation – other energy providers will vary).
Usually, the indicator on the RHC Hub (GSS-710 on the back of the device) only occasionally flickers white when checking the signal. However, the unit can also indicate different colours to indicate potential problems.
When starting up the device can flash through a series of colours: green, blue, red, and a pinkish/purple.
If the RHC Hub starts flashing pink/purple it could indicate an internet connection issue. Also, if you use the mobile app it may report “We cannot access your thermostat as it is not connected to your hub. This problem may resolve itself shortly but if not please contact customer services.”
This issue will usually resolve itself but can take a little time. As we discover more information we’ll post it here.
