Viewlets

I’ve been considering recording some ‘Viewlets’, for want of a better term, for various things such as Installing Exchange 2007, Sharepoint and Virtual Server so I’m on the look-out for a piece of software that will allow me to:

  • Record screens include keyboard and mouse movements
  • Edit the recording
  • Add a few titles
  • Make a Viewlet that is easily accessible
  • Maintains a small footprint

At this stage, obviously a low-cost or even free product would be great unless there is a stunning feature set that warrants investment but I don’t want to commit too much to it in case it turns out to be one of those things that ‘seemed like a good idea at the time’. I also don’t want to get into a trial-version package at this stage because then I’d be committing a lot of effort into a particular platform.
